Hi, friends! A few months ago we started transitioning Remy’s nursery to a toddler bedroom! Remy bedshares with us so his room has turned into more of a play area. We moved his crib from our room to his when he started sleeping in bed with us around 14 months. He still often naps there but it is most often used to read books and play at this point. Whenever moves to his crib for nighttime sleep, we can transition his crib to his toddler bed.
We still wanted to keep it sentimental and cozy so we added a couch that was in Remy’s playroom. It is such a special space in our home and we can’t wait to watch him grow up there. Transitioning a nursery into a toddler bedroom doesn’t take too much work aside from creating a great space to sit, adding a toddler bed (or converting your crib), and maybe hanging some new pictures/artwork.
We love going in there to read books and just hang out. We keep these baskets on the floor to keep toys and books in so Remy can easily access and play with them.
Fish tank in a toddler bedroom
Remy loves his fish tank! I highly suggest getting a fish tank for your little one to start developing some early responsibilities. Every single morning after Remy wakes up, says hi to the dogs, and gives us hugs he runs straight to his room to feed his fish. He also loves showing them to anyone who comes over to our house. We have colorful fish so it has actually helped him with learning his colors too.
One thing that we kept is Remy’s swing in the corner of his room. I love how it ties together the space and holds all of his favorite stuffed animals now that he can’t fit in it. Use code: PREMO10 for 10% off!

Love this so much! Would you mind sharing the name of the green paint used?
Do you know where the rug is from? I’ve checked all your pages and can’t find a brand or name anywhere!
