DENIM JACKET (XS) // KNIT TOP (S) // GINGHAM CULOTTES (XS)

EARRINGS // BUCKET BAG // STUDDED PLATFORMS

Spring won’t be here for a few more weeks, but if you’re anything like me you’re ready to start shopping for warmer temperatures. I’ve been loving all the bold colors I’ve seen like burnt orange, mustard yellow and fun pops of blue. Lately I’ve been stocking up on brightly colored shoes and bags to add a little extra pop to any outfit. Below are some of the items I’m loving for spring and I think you guys will too!

MULES

I can’t get enough of mules in ALL different styles. I was hesitant about them at first, but now they’re one of my go-to’s. My favorite types are chunky block heels and mule style flats. They go with everything from jeans to jumpsuits and even maxi dresses.

PLATFORM SANDALS

I know I’m going to be wearing woven platform sandals on repeat all spring and summer. They can be worn casually with cut off shorts and overalls or dressed up with maxi dresses and jumpsuits. Plus I love that they give me a little extra height. My two personal favorites in my closet right now are these studded espadrilles and these strappy leather wrap-ups

TWO-PIECE SETS

In case y’all haven’t noticed… I really have a thing for sets. I truly believe they are a short girl’s best friend because they’re so flattering and are usually adjustable. I could wear a set every day of my life and be totally content. I love them all: pants sets, shorts sets and everything in between. Some of my all-time favorite co-ords are from Forever 21

DENIM JACKETS

I’ve searched high and low to find the perfect denim jacket. Seriously, I have just about every type of denim jacket you can imagine: cropped, light wash, dark wash… you name it. But this distressed denim jacket is really the only one you need. It goes with absolutely everything. It’s the perfect combo of vintage tomboy and feminine, with a faded ripped wash that you can wear in any season. I have the XS and it fits perfectly. If you’re between sizes, I’d size down as it has a pretty relaxed fit.

MINI BUCKET BAGS

I still haven’t tired of the bucket bag trend, and I’m even more obsessed with the spring styles. My go-to is the Mini Tadesse style from one of my favorite local companies. Small yet spacious, the minis allow you to take on the trend in a convenient and compact way.

WOVEN BAGS

Wicker bags are probably my favorite spring accessory. There are multiple versions of it – wicker, rattan, straw – but they’re all THE bag of the moment. I became obsessed with this style towards the end of last summer and I was worried they wouldn’t be as popular this year, but they have come back with a bang. I have a small round rattan crossbody bag and a large round tote, and I also have my eye on this bamboo bag.  I rounded up some of my favorites  both – both currently in my closet and on my wish list. My favorite way to add a little flair to any bag is to tie a fun scarf around the top.

VINTAGE-INSPIRED SWIMWEAR

Have you ever seen vintage photos of women in bathing suits from the 50’s or 60’s? They always look so fabulously classy. I love all things vintage and have been excited to see so many retro trends popping up in this year’s swimwear. If you aren’t quite ready to commit to full-on retro styles, this Crochet High Waist Bikini is one of my favorites in my closet right now.

BANDANAS + SCARVES

Y’all know these are pretty much a year round must-have for me. The ones I wear all the time are by Madewell and they’re super reasonably priced.  I wear them around my neck with t-shirts and sweaters, tied around handles of straw bags and purses and more recently I’ve been loving the hair scarf trend. This vintage gold color is my top pick for spring. What new trends are you excited about??
