My closet has always been one of those spaces I knew needed a refresh. It just wasn’t living up to its full potential. The layout felt impractical, and some elements didn’t really work for my wardrobe. So, I finally decided to renovate it and create a functional and unique space!
First, we took down all the built-ins and the island to start fresh. I wanted everything to be tailored to my needs, one being my boot collection, which never seemed to have a proper home. Now, I have a dedicated spot to store all of them in one place, which makes such a difference.
We also added a window, and the natural light has completely transformed the space! It brings so much life and energy, especially when paired with the color we chose for the walls. After a lot of back and forth (and a few paint samples!), we decided on Templeton Pink by Farrow & Ball. It’s the perfect shade of warm, elevated pink. We color-drenched the space, and it ties everything together beautifully—especially the vintage-inspired details like my full-length mirror.
The shelves were custom-built, and I love how practical they are. The different heights make organizing easy—the shorter ones are perfect for accessories and perfumes, while the taller shelves fit my bags and shoes perfectly! We also added drawers for folded items and things that didn’t need to be on display.
To give the space some unique character, we added vintage-inspired drawer pulls I found on Etsy.
Now, every time I step into my closet, it feels like a space that truly reflects me. It’s functional, beautiful, and just makes me happy! If you’ve been thinking about tackling a project like this, I say go for it—there’s nothing better than creating a space that feels uniquely yours!
