After traveling so much, we’ve barely had time to even think of the wedding. This weekend was our first real wedding planning experience and I have to say it was quite the success! My parents, Cameron’s parents, my Mimi and my two best friends Cookie and Holland joined us on our venue hunt. They all made it such a fun, stress free experience for me and Cam.

I had no intentions of finding our venue on the first day, but I’m happy to say that we officially have our venue and a DATE! We are getting married on September 9, 2017 at Graystone Quarry.

We visited some STUNNNG venues. I’m typically an over-thinker and never make spur of the moment decisions, but I knew immediately that I wanted to get married at Graystone Quarry. It’s a new, refined rustic venue in Thompson Station, bordering Franklin, TN. It’s on 76 private acres of reclaimed abandoned rock quarries. On a quiet country farm road, the land is steeped in local history and beauty. It’s home to meadows, forest, streams, ponds, dramatic limestone cliff walls, and even a scenic waterfall!

The venue features Tennessee Limestone, local wood grown nearby and milled in Franklin, abundant covered porches, vintage and artisan furnishings, handmade accents, and warm, modern lighting. I apologize if I’m ranting about it but it’s just THAT stunning. I look forward to working with the owner, Nancy McEachern, who has already been so helpful. The reception building is under construction, but will be complete by this October. It is truly the ideal canvas for creating our perfect wedding! Xo
