Since Cameron and I both work from home, our office is where we spend a lot of time during the day. The inspiration for our office all started with the Arhaus Alderson Hideaway Desk. We fell in love with the Stratus color when we saw it in-store, and pretty much planned the rest of the room around it. The finished room feels welcoming, inspiring, and functional and we are honored to partner with Arhaus on such an exciting project.
Cameron is a photographer and videographer and works off of multiple monitors. I love that the Hideaway Desk is functional for him with an abundance of storage and space, and we can close the cabinet off when we need it to look more “put together.” It feels like a little creative haven for both of us now.
Those beautiful walls aren’t wallpaper, they’re actually hand-painted by local Nashville mural and photo backdrop artist Telicia Lee. Telicia and her daughter Morgan did an incredible job and are just a joy to work with. I love their creative vision and ideas. The subtle washes give the room such a welcoming feeling. Arhaus’ Francis Table is a piece I have had my eye on for years, and I knew it would complete the space. Each rustic Francis dining table is artisan-built from solid reclaimed pine. The tables are constructed and antiqued by hand—finished in natural tones while accentuating the reclaimed wood’s unique features. It works perfectly in our office as a conference table for when my assistant comes over for meetings, Zoom calls together and overall it just makes the room a lot more functional. I have loved working at this new table since I’m not much of a desk person and always float around the house to answer emails, write blog posts, etc.
Arhaus is truly one of my favorite destinations for unique home furnishings and quality goods. They now have a storefront in Nashville at The Mall at Green Hills. I love popping in there for home inspiration and seeing the pieces in person. A few of my other favorite pieces in the room are the sparkling chandelier, hand-knotted rug, and leather desk chair.
