Experiencing life through Remy’s eyes
This post is sponsored by TN Vacation. As always, all opinions are my own.
Earlier this month, we packed up the Bronco and headed on a road trip to Knoxville for their Sunsphere Sundays concert series! Previously I had only ever visited Knoxville to visit friends in college and it was a fun change of pace to experience the city through a new lens as a family. Me, Remy and Cam spent two days exploring and came back with a new appreciation for all that Knoxville has to offer.
The Sunsphere Sundays Concert Series was held every Sunday in October at World’s Fair Park. We got the chance to see The Lone Bellow, a band we have listened to for years. They are an Americana/Indie Folk band based out of Brooklyn, and the show was incredible.
They also spotlighted local vendors, food trucks, artists and more. Seeing how much Remy loved the live music was the highlight of our trip. I think he would have jumped on stage with them if he could!
We also had the chance to visit Zoo Knoxville with our friends Peyton, Heather, Brittany and their boys. Remy absolutely loved this zoo and it was very toddler-friendly with a petting zoo, slides, and more.
Market Square is another must-do for shopping, eating and exploring. We stayed at The Cumberland House and it was in such a central, convenient location. We learned a lot about the history of the city just from the details in the hotel and definitely recommend staying there. It’s super cozy and offers an authentic local experience.
If we had better weather, we would have stopped for a hike on our way out of town. We were looking at Spruce Flats Falls Trail, Abrams Falls or Clingman’s Dome. The leaves had just started to change when we were there and Knoxville has breathtaking views. We’ll be sure to check out more outdoor activities next time!
I’m always amazed by how much Tenneseee has to offer and this trip inspired us to plan more road trips with Remy in the future. Have you ever visited Tennessee? You can plan your trip, read more about our beautiful state and fun things to do here.
