We’ve been so wrapped up in wedding planning that Cameron and I haven’t had many free Saturdays in a while. Last weekend, the weather was perfect and we decided to have a little “day date.” We went to the flea market, the farmer’s market and did a little shopping around town.
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect denim skirt and finally found it at Madewell. It’s an easy A-line mini with ’70s details, patch pockets and buttons all the way down the front. I’ll definitely be wearing it with chunky sweaters and booties in the fall. I paired it with this adorable effortless oversized button-down with ruffles down the sides. It also looks great tied up with high-waisted jeans.
Now… can we talk about this bag? This functional statement piece is sure to take your outfits to the next level. It is also available in burgundy, another one of fall’s hottest colors. The best part? When you buy a FASHIONABLE product you are providing jobs and opportunities for women living in poverty. The company is based out of Nashville and their flagship store is in The Nations. If you’re ever in the area, stop by and check them out!
There is always a case to be made that adhering to tradition for the sake of it is a lost cause. So abandon all of your preconceptions and have fun shopping for your mother of the bride dress, enjoying all of the variety out there.
