After a lifetime of long hair, I recently took the plunge and made the big chop. Let me tell you, this “mom chop” has been an absolute game-changer! It feels very “me” and has been so fun to style. I don’t think I’ll be going back to long hair anytime soon.
It cuts down on drying/styling time and makes it so much easier to get ready. I love using the GHD curing iron or a straightener to get those effortless beach waves/bends,
A huge shoutout to Marissa Martin at Parlour 3, who never fails to deliver. I go in with an idea and come out with a hairstyle I love that completely exceeds all my expectations.
If you’re looking to make the big chop too, I’ve compiled some helpful things you can ask for regarding color and cut at your next hair appointment.
Marissa worked her magic using Blonde Me 7vol and 20vol to create highlights around my face. No toner was needed – just the purple shampoo to maintain vibrancy. The slightly inverted cut with blunt ends not only complements my face shape but also requires minimal maintenance.
