I’m so excited to share our finished primary bedroom! We wanted our room to feel like a separate and peaceful space away from the rest of the house. We have a super open floor plan which has its perks, but it can also be hard to make spaces feel like their own rooms. Our biggest inspirations for this room were a luxurious hotel room and all things French.

The room turned out to be the perfect mix of our styles. The dark walls, modern furniture and leather textures add a level of masculinity, while the soft linen, brass accents and crystal chandelier balance the room with feminine details. Cameron and I had a ton of fun bringing this space to life and picking the pieces with the Arhaus design team!

All of our new bedroom furniture is from Arhaus. They have the most unique and timeless pieces that stand the test of time. A few of my favorite pieces in the room are the Wyller bed, Pierre Grand Mirror and the Leyland Chandelier. We have had the best experiences working with their design team.

Arhaus was founded on the idea that furniture and décor should be sustainably sourced, lovingly made, and built to last. It is evident that they are committed to those principles. The company partners with artisans around the world who share a vision of creating beautiful, heirloom-quality pieces that can be used and loved for generations. We have Arhaus furniture throughout our home and know that we will enjoy them for years to come. See our office HERE and screened-in porch HERE.

We spent a ton of time going back and forth on paint colors. I knew that I wanted to paint the entire space (ceiling, trim, doors, etc.) and I wanted it to feel dark and moody, but not too heavy. We settled on a mid-tone green from Sherwin Williams called ‘Evergreen Fog.’ It is the perfect color for this room! We don’t have a ton of natural light so the color appears darker than it would in a well-lit space. We painted the trim and doors with a satin finish and the walls in eggshell.

One thing that made such an impact on the room is the molding. We almost didn’t add it last minute to save time, and I’m so glad we did! It added a whole new level of coziness and made the room feel like a different space. Our wall molding is linked HERE and chair rail linked HERE.

Our drapes are custom-made from a local seamstress. She can be contacted at Kayescustomcreations@gmail.com.

What is your favorite part of our bedroom revamp? Let me know in the comments!

xx Hunter
