Photos by Ashley Posthuma of  Photography Anthology

A few weeks ago, Cameron and I went on the most magical trip to Charleston, South Carolina. It was the perfect little getaway and we had the BEST time exploring the charming city together. There is nothing we love more than good food, good drinks and history so we were basically in heaven. I’ll be posting my full Charleston travel diary early next week but just couldn’t wait to share these gorgeous shots by Photography Anthology

When we booked our flights back in March, one of the first things I wanted to do was book a couples shoot. We rarely have photos together unless they’re taken with a self-timer or by one of our parents. Ha! Coincidentally, my friend Sakura had just visited Charleston and posted the dreamiest beach shoot. She connected me with Ashley Posthuma, the amazing photographer behind Photography Anthology

Ashley was amazing to work with from the get-go. She was extremely responsive and flexible. We had to reschedule our trip last minute and she worked with us reschedule our shoot almost immediately. During the actual shoot, we had so much FUN with her. I was so excited to learn she frequently travels to Nashville for weddings and I can’t wait to shoot with her again one day. She gives the perfect amount of direction to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I would highly recommend using her for engagement, wedding or any kind of

We started our hour long mini shoot at White Point Garden. It’s a beautiful park located in the historic district downtown. It’s right on the water and is shaded by the most beautiful old oak trees. After that, we wandered down a few surrounding cobblestone streets and took in the scenery of all the old homes.
