I’ve been making my own pumpkin spice creamer lately. It only takes four ingredients and makes my coffee taste like a coffee shop drink (without all the extra ingredients and a lot less money!). All you need is sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin pie spice. I personally like to mix mine with espresso and ice to make an iced pumpkin spice latte. Most store-bought creamers contain unnecessary oils and processed sugars. Check out how to create your very own PSL at home that tastes good and contains cleaner ingredients.
A recipe by Lauren Perrotto shared by my friend Chandler inspired me to make my own creamer. The pumpkin flavor adds such a nice touch for fall. Customize your creamer with hot coffee, iced coffee, or espresso!
Ingredients:
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup organic unsweetened pumpkin puree
- 1.5 tablespoons pumpkin pie spice
Instructions:
Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients
Before you begin, make sure you have all your ingredients ready. This simple recipe comes together quickly.
Step 2: Combine Sweetened Condensed Milk and Whole Milk
In a mixing bowl, combine the entire can of sweetened condensed milk with 2 cups of whole milk. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well incorporated. The sweetened condensed milk adds creaminess and sweetness to the creamer.
Step 3: Add Pumpkin Puree
Next, add 1 cup of organic unsweetened pumpkin puree. Mix until the pumpkin puree is fully combined with the milk mixture.
Step 4: Spice It Up
Sprinkle in 1.5 tablespoons of pumpkin pie spice. This blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and ginger will infuse your creamer with those iconic autumn spices. Adjust the amount to suit your taste if you want a stronger or milder spice flavor.
Step 5: Store and Enjoy
Transfer your homemade Pumpkin Spice Creamer to an airtight container or jar. Store it in the refrigerator, and give it a good shake before each use to ensure all the flavors are well mixed.
Step 6: Brew Your Coffee
Brew your favorite coffee or espresso. Pour it into your cup, leaving some room for the creamer.
Step 7: Add the Creamer
Pour a generous amount of your homemade Pumpkin Spice Creamer into your coffee. Stir to combine.
Optional: Make an Iced Pumpkin Spice Coffee
For an iced version, simply brew your coffee, let it cool, and add ice. Then, pour in the Pumpkin Spice Creamer, stir, and enjoy a refreshing Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte on those crisp fall days.
There you have it – a simple, 4-ingredient Pumpkin Spice Creamer that will make your coffee taste like a cozy coffee shop creation. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the fall season without breaking the bank or sacrificing quality ingredients. Cheers to autumn and to enjoying your PSL treats at home!
