Hi friends! I am super excited to share our master bedroom makeover with Ashley Homestore! We started this project before we left for Asia and it has been a work in progress, but I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I love the pops of color and the bohemian yet cozy feel.
A few of my favorite items from Ashley are the area rug, hairpin leg coffee table and all of the fun throw pillows. The one item that really completes the room is the beaded chandelier. It makes me happy every time I walk in the room! It’s a beautiful yet neutral focal point that adds a great texture to the space.
Cameron’s favorite part of the newly designed room is the record wall nook. He loves how we were able to pair our own items with Ashley’s accents like these woven baskets and this throw.
We painted the accent wall Ichyra Blue by Farrow & Ball. (It looks totally green right??) I think we might have gotten a weird can or maybe it’s the lighting in the cutout, but I’m completely obsessed with the color and how it complements the rug. Nonetheless, this was definitely a lesson in testing out a swatch on the wall to see how the color pulls in different rooms.
One reason I’m so excited about this project is that it really reignited my inspiration to share more home/lifestyle content. I had tons of fun mixing older pieces like my vintage rattan peacock chair and my great grandmother’s mirror with newer items from Ashley. I am looking forward to taking you guys along on this journey as we continue to document our home build/moving process. The new house will be a clean slate and I foresee many more home posts in our near future!
