I recently was given the opportunity to visit the town of Aurora, NY for a trip with home decor and lifestyle brand MacKenzie Childs. I was a fan of the brand before this trip, but to say I gained a whole new appreciation for the craftsmanship doesn’t even cover it.

I want you re-introduce you guys to my good friend Molly Sohr of The Cedar Lane!  Molly is a wedding/event planner and lifestyle blogger. You might remember her from our Galentine’s Brunch back in February. 

I try not to pay too much attention to numbers, but I have to say it was pretty awesome to wake up to 50,000 followers on Instagram last week. For those who don’t know, I started my blog in July of 2016 as a way to share Cameron’s proposal story with our family and friends.

A few weeks ago, Cameron and I went on the most magical trip to Charleston, South Carolina. It was the perfect little getaway and we had the BEST time exploring the charming city together.

It wasn’t until college that I truly realized just how important music is to me. Growing up in Nashville I was surrounded by it. I grew up with my mom working in the music business, but it was so much more than just that. It’s jam sessions on back porches with friends, live music everywhere you go and an inspiring creativity that echoes throughout the city.

I think I was subconsciously anticipating Coachella last week with this outfit! I am absolutely in love with this Fringe Embroidered set. My favorite part is that the pieces can be styled so many different ways together and apart.

Lately I’ve been getting a lot of questions about the dynamic of Cameron and I working together. For those who don’t know, Cameron takes all of the photos for my blog and also helps with web design, accounting and pretty much everything in-between. We were recently shooting with some friends and they pointed out how well we work together, and I thought it would be fun to talk share our best advice about working with your spouse/significant other!

I’m alllll about mixing prints lately. It was a little too chilly to wear this adorable gingham romper on its own so I layered it with this super affordable cherry print tee, complete with puffy sleeves and a cut-out back. It’s such a fun and playful print that I’ve been able to style so many different ways. 

My obsession with matching sets is REAL, and this polka dot number is no exception. The print has a fun retro feel and I love the detail on the tie-front crop top.

I grew up listening to my grandmother and great grandmother tell stories about the Nashville and how things used to be. They shared memories of shopping for Easter dresses at Harvey’s Department Store and being bribed to behave with milkshakes from Woolworth.

Spring won’t be here for a few more weeks, but if you’re anything like me you’re ready to start shopping for warmer temperatures. I’ve been loving all the bold colors I’ve seen like burnt orange, mustard yellow and fun pops of blue.
