Ahhh… my love for big hats and pointed-toe booties runs deep. Maybe it’s just the Nashville in me. For this post I wanted to share a few of my favorite styles of booties and hats + some that I’m eyeing for fall!
With both booties and hats, I will always recommend choosing quality. These are items you will wear over and over again and they can easily look worn.
EVERYDAY FAVORITES
If I had to pick one pair of booties as my absolute go-to… it would be the Cava style by Vince Camuto. They are perfectly neutral to be paired with anything but still have a unique heel and perforated suede material. These never let me down!
Marc Fisher also makes great neutral booties. This studded Deni style has a little added flair, but are subtle enough for everyday wear.
I personally own and wear the two above, but the Kalila style by Sigerson Morrison has been on my wishlist for months. They are a splurge for sure, but I can’t stop thinking about them! Plus they come in bronze which makes them even more killer.
WHITE BOOTIES
Another staple I think every trendy gal needs is an amazing white bootie. They can make such a statement! My favorites (Frye Ellen Deco in white) are no longer available, but there are a few others I love. The Caty style by Matisse e and Going West by Free People are very flattering. The high ankles elongates the leg and the colors are more of a neutral off-white.
For a unique and eye-catching style, I recommend the Blade by Freebird. I have never received so many questions or compliments about a pair of shoes as I do when I wear these!
BOLD AND FUN
When my outfit is feeling boring, I LOVE to spruce things up with a bold pair of boots or booties. These babies by Dan Post are about as western as they come and I’M HERE FOR IT! I have them in both red and white and they have been on heavy rotation in my wardrobe this summer.
If you’re not big on color, try a bold print. I love these by Free People… or these by Matisse if you really want to go for it.
STUDS are all the rage these days and I hope they’re here to stay. The Ryan style by Marc Fisher and the Wylie by Jeffrey Campbell are both to die for.

Now let’s talk my favorite topic…. HATS!! Hats are really a personal preference so I won’t go into quite as much detail, but I really wanted to share a few of my favorite brands and styles that work for my face shape. I’ve been a hat gal for as long as I can remember and my day-to-day styles truly feel the most complete with a hat!
Right now, my favorite style hat is a wide-brim rancher. If you are wanting to try out a wide-brim style that is neutral and goes with nearly everything, I recommend Lack of Color. This Zulu color has been my most-worn style for a while now, with the Ivory coming in for a close second. I am also a big fan of their straw hats.
My most cherished hat is the Flatliner style by Stetson from HATWRKS here in town. Cameron got it for me for my 25th birthday last year, and we customized it with feathers and a vintage ribbon. You truly can’t beat the craftsmanship of a Stetson… they are like wearable works of art.
If you’re looking for something a little more distinct and out-of-the-box, I suggest Hats N Roses, Van Palma or Janessa Leone. Their pieces have beautiful detail, unique shapes and really make a statement.
