It’s crazy to think I turned 25 last month. I feel like 21-15 were the fastest few years of my life. I welcomed in my 25th in the best way possible. I had a huge birthday celebration at FGL House on my actual birthday December 8th. We’re all about celebrating BIG in my family. We had a DJ and probably about 200 people. I’m truly so grateful for all of the wonderful people in my life.
The following week Cameron and I decided to take a few days off from work and life and head to Cookeville for a cabin getaway. We stayed at the coziest place called Hill and Cabin. It was EXACTLY what we both needed to escape a bit. We both frequently travel for work and it’s not often that we just get to relax on a trip. We finished a 1,000 piece puzzle, cooked meals in the adorable kitchen, made cookies, drank delicious wine and watched ALL the Christmas movies we could.
The interior is soulfully modern with white board and batting, a claw foot tub and a bright kitchen with everything you need for a night in. I fell in love with the details like the indoor double fireplace and the vintage rugs throughout. Hill and Cabin is also pet-friendly. We were able to bring Cooper and Puddles and it made our trip that much better. We took them on hikes around the property and they absolutely loved exploring in the woods.
A few days of rest and relaxation was exactly what we needed to get in the mindset of the holiday season. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway just about 88 miles from downtown Nashville, I can’t recommend Hill and Cabin enough. We’re visiting their other property at the end of January and I’ll be sure you tell you guys all about it!
