December is such a special month for us with my birthday and the holidays, but this year it’s been even sweeter! It’s our first year in the new house with a sweet BABY on the way. We haven’t been traveling much and it’s been nice to soak up this time at home.
Cameron and I are both big on traditions and I think they are super important for making the holidays feel even more magical.
Watching ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ on Christmas Morning. We started this tradition when we got married and it will be even sweeter next year with a 6 month old baby boy in our arms! This year we’ll be watching on our new 55″ LG OLED B9.
The quality of the TV is absolutely amazing and makes Christmas movies even more magical. Trust me…. I would know because I have been spending quite a bit of time posted up on our couch this first trimester. 🙂
LG OLED TVs use proprietary technology to produce one billion rich colors. We love ours so much we now have another one for our theater room upstairs!
Christmas Eve with my family (complete with matching pj’s!). My family does the majority of our Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve. Mimi always makes it a huge extravaganza complete with games, music and of course matching pj’s. I will always remember our special times together and the memories we make.
Christmas Morning brunch with Cameron’s parents. Cameron’s Papaw has a famous biscuits & gravy recipe that he has passed on to Cameron & Kim. They always make it on Christmas morning before we open presents and spend time with the rest of the family.
Watching Home Videos from the Year. We have put more effort into taking longer videos this year. There’s nothing sweeter than watching videos of your loved ones, and they capture so much like their voice and expressions that still photos can’t. I was excited to learn that LG has an airplay mode where you can pull up photos and videos straight from your phone screen. That’s how we pulled up baby’s ultrasound and it was the sweetest!
An ornament for every year. For our newest tradition, we’ve decided to start an ornament collection for Baby Premo. That way when he has a home and Christmas tree of his own (crazy to think about), he will have a collection of 18+ ornaments that are significant to milestones or moments of his life. I saw this on my friend Mandy from The Momma Society’s blog and thought it was the sweetest idea!
What are your favorite family traditions? I always love learning about how other families celebrate the holidays!
Nice decor! Christmas is also my favorite time of the year especially if you have kids which you soon will have next holiday season. Congratulations to both of you!
