Let’s Be Friends:

This post is sponsored by ABLE. As always, all opinions are my own. Photos by Madi Flournoy.

I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! I spent my weekend in Knoxville for a friend’s wedding and then relaxed by the pool with family yesterday teaching my dog Puddles to swim. Yes, it was as clumsy as you may imagine. 🙂 I am so excited to share the latest post in our #HunterBrookeStyled series with you! As I mentioned in last month’s post, my friend Brooke Webb and I will be styling similar items and showing you different ways to rock them in your 20’s and 30’s. This month we teamed up with ABLE, one of our favorite local brands to show you how we style their denim and new canvas utility jacket.

I styled a casual, everyday look and Brooke went with more chic and polished approach. (Seriously how fabulous is she with her sleek bun and red lip? She’s just as beautiful on the inside too!) For my look, I chose the new Skinny Mildred Wash denim. These worn black jeans are super comfortable and have a fitted, stretchy fit. They also have an amazing step-hem detail (that you can’t see on me because I’m too short and had to roll them. Ha!) Be sure to check out their website for the full look of the denim. These jeans run small so I would recommend sizing up one size.

My favorite part about this outfit has to be the SHOES. I’m a sucker for a statement bootie, and I have a feeling I will be wearing the Rojas Mules on repeat this fall. My friend Jordan is the fashion director for ABLE, and she was testing out these fun leopard mules last spring when they weren’t available yet. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think about them multiple times between now and then. They are just that good!

I have to admit that the olive green Military Jacket was a bit out of my comfort zone. I don’t typically like the look of oversized outerwear on my petite frame, but I instantly loved the fit and color of this jacket when I tried it on. It’s tailored enough to keep you looking slim, yet roomy enough to layer with ease in the colder months. I topped the look off with their Garcia Distressed Tank and the Salem Crossbody in cognac. If I had to recommend only one thing from ABLE, I would have to go with their leather bags!

I know I have shared a lot of my favorite ABLE finds over the past few years, but I don’t think I’ve ever told y’all why I love the brand so much. Aside from the amazing quality of their pieces (seriously… I reach for my ABLE bags over almost any bag in my closet), they are truly one of the most authentic and philanthropic brands. ABLE focuses on ending generational poverty through providing economic opportunity for women who have overcome extraordinary circumstances. In fact, all of their items are named after one of the heroic women they work with. If you ever get the chance to visit the flagship here in Nashville, I highly recommend stopping by. It is a one-stop shop for ethical fashion and really gives you a glimpse into the amazing work the brand is doing both in Nashville and all over the world. If you’re interested in learning more about ABLE’s story and why they invest in women, visit their website here.

I’m truly honored to work with and share such an incredible brand with you. When you make a purchase from ABLE, you are giving women around the world an opportunity to work in a safe and healthy environment. I hope you’ll join me in supporting and spreading the word about ABLE and all the good the brand is doing! Head to Brooke’s post to see her take on styling this layered fall look.

Thanks for stopping by!

xx Hunter
