I can’t believe Thanksgiving is just a week away! I LOVE Thanksgiving because we get to spend so much quality time with both mine and Cameron’s families. We’re lucky enough that our families actually celebrate together. We start the morning with homemade biscuits and gravy and mimosas at the Premo’s house, and then my family joins us. We spend most of the day in our pj’s, gathering around the kitchen and preparing food for later that day.

This year I’m in charge of the sweet potatoes and Cameron always makes the dressing with his mom. It’s their little Thanksgiving tradition. (Is that a southern thing to call it dressing?) Dressing, stuffing, whatever you want to call it… Cam uses his mom’s recipe and always nails it. If you’re new around here, you will quickly learn how much my family LOVES holidays and any chance to celebrate. Get ready for some entertaining Instagram stories over the next few months!

When we FINALLY get dressed at around 1pm on Thanksgiving, I always like to wear something that feels dressed up but still comfortable and casual enough to wear around the house. When I found this turtleneck sweater dress from Show Me Your Mumu (linked similar below), I knew it would be perfect for the holidays. I’m having a major moment with sweater dresses right now, but this one is probably my all-time favorite. I can’t get enough of the gold pearl details and the chunky knit. I styled it with my trusty Lack Of Color Rancher Hat and my very favorite OTK boots that are currently 30% off with code ‘GMJOY30’. I have them in two colors and they are such great quality.

What are you planning on wearing for Thanksgiving this year? Does your family keep it casual or go all out? As always, thanks for reading and I hope you all enjoy this special time with your family!

I love this outfit. I wish I had this sweater dress too since I already have OTK boots in your color. Brown over the knee boots are truly must have.
    Thanks for sharing.
