Hey everyone! My mom and I did our first Instagram Live Beauty Q+A together this weekend. We had so much fun interacting with you guys and will definitely be collaborating on more content like this together. I rounded up all of your questions and linked some of our go-to products below. Feel free to email me if I left anything out and thanks for reading and always being so supportive!

What are your favorite everyday hair products?

H: For shampoo and conditioner, I love all Kerastase products. I personally switch it up between this one and this one, but they have different products for every hair type so definitely research what’s best for you personally. I always use the Fave 4 Dearly Detangled spray right when I get out of the shower. I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to styling products… usually just a little Oribe Dry Texture or Fave 4 Texture and finish it off with Superfine Strong hairspray and I’m good to go. If I need some extra volume, I use Oribe Swept Up. It adds a little extra grit to your hair and a little goes a longgg way!

M: My hair is pretty dry so I switch it up between this Shu Umera shampoo and conditioner and this Kerastase shampoo and conditioner. While my hair is wet, I use Shu Umera Essence Absolute Oil and Wonder Worker before blow drying. For volume, my two favorite products are Redken Volume Spray and Phytovolume Actif Spray

What are your favorite foundations?

H: For everyday coverage, I don’t like to use a foundation. When I’m just running around I always use CC+ Cream. It truly gives you flawless coverage and protects your skin with SPF 50 UVA/UVB broad-spectrum sunscreen.

H+M: One of our go-to foundations is Power Fabric by Giorgio Armani. It has a matte finish with a really velvety texture. Our absolute favorite new foundation is the Soft Fluid Longwear by La Mer. It’s such a splurge (and we thought it was completely ridiculous before trying it), but it’s a game-changer!

Best tinted moisturizer?

H: Hands down IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream. I wear light in the winter and medium in the summer.

Daily Supplements?

H: I’ve been using Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides for the past few months and I’m totally hooked. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my hair growth since I started taking them. I usually use about 1 1/2 scoops a day in my coffee in the morning or tea at night. I have also been taking Juice Plus since I was a sophomore in college, and I swear they’re the reason I don’t get sick anymore. Feel free to DM or email me if you want to know more about either of these!

Best products for hair growth?

H: We are both huge fans of Zenagen! Unlike most hair growth products, Zenagen is naturally formulated. I struggled with thyroid issues in high school and it totally transformed my hair. The key is consistency so don’t be discouraged if you don’t see fast results. Just use HUNTER10 for 10% off!

Best Setting Powder?

H+M: We both use Amazing Cosmetics Powderset for under the eyes. As for as face powder goes, we love Sorme. It has great coverage and doesn’t dry out your skin.

What’s the deal with those CO2 Masks?

H+M: We both absolutely LOVE the CO2 Lift Masks. We first started getting them at Dr. Biesman’s office and were blown away by the results. It’s hands down the best mask you’ll ever use and the fastest way to glowing skin. Best part? There’s no possible adverse affects and it’s safe for even the most sensitive skin.

Favorite Lipsticks and Lipliners?

H+M: We both love the Mac “Boldly Bare” lipliner. Our current favorite lipstick is Charlotte Tilbury “Bitch Perfect” with a tiny bit of “Kim K.W.” on top. (Thanks to Jess for introducing us to this amazing combo!)

Favorite Concealers?

H+M: We’ve both been hugs fans of Amazing Cosmetics concealer for years. This cream-based formula is long wearing and no matter how much you apply – you’ll never see it sitting on top of the skin. It can also be used to highlight and contour cheekbones, prime and define lips, define and highlight the brow and contour the nose and jawline.

Another favorite of ours is Tarte’s Shape Tape. It’s definitely a full coverage concealer. The hydrating, longwearing formula delivers natural, radiant coverage across all skin types so you can instantly brighten and cover acne, dark circles and redness.

Favorite sparkly shadows that really pop?

M: I’ve recently been loving the Pat McGrath palettes and all of the Stila Magnificent Metals

Best way to keep blonde hair from getting yellow and brassy?

H+M: PURPLE CONDITIONER!! If you’re a cooler blonde and not using it, you need to be. It keeps your ends bright and gets rid of any unwanted brassiness. We love the Evo Fabulous. Fair warning: it’s strong so don’t leave it on very long! We never leave it on for more than a minute.

Best Brow Products?

H+M: For starters, it’s all about how you keep up your eyebrows. Always make sure your brow artist isn’t taking off too much at the top. Jen at Parlour 3 is the best in the business! If you’re in Nashville, you must go see her. Our all-time favorite brow pencil is by Lord & Berry Brow in the color “Blondie.” Be sure to blend it in… you never want your pencil to look too stark. To give your brows an extra pop, put a little Sorme “Brow Lift” directly under them and blend it in.

Best Highlighters?

H+M: We both adore the Laura Geller Luminizer in “Gilded Honey.” It adds a beautiful dewy glow to your cheeks and nose. Our favorite highlighter palette is by NARS. This palette of four limited-edition wet/dry highlighters and two bronzers creates a smoldering, glowing look.

Where can I find that body oil Melissa talks about?

M: You can find the body oil here. It can actually be used on your hair as well. It’s perfect for big events and red carpets.  This dry oil rapidly absorbs into the skin giving you a subtle glow ideal for a night out on the town.

How do you curl your hair?

H: I’ve used the Jose Eber curling wand for years now. I’m all about making things easy, and wands seem to be the fastest way to curl my hair. I also really like the GHD Curve

M: I love the good ole Hot Tools 1 1/2 inch curling iron. I’ve also recently started using the wand from L’ange and I’m really loving it for those beachy waves.
