I grew up listening to my grandmother and great grandmother tell stories about the Nashville and how things used to be. They shared memories of shopping for Easter dresses at Harvey's Department Store and being bribed to behave with milkshakes from Woolworth.
You know your girl loves a good staycation. I was so excited when my friends Casey and Savannah from Hey Wanderer had the idea of a Galentine's Staycation with our friend Sarah! Whether you're single or an old married lady like me, it's so important to spend time with girlfriends. We recently had a snow storm in Nashville and our staycation was planned right at the end of it. The snow made for a even cozier experience and made our stay at the Aertson that much more fun.
To me, Valentine's Day isn't just about celebrating and spending time with your significant other. It's about taking time to appreciate and celebrate all the people you love in your life. This year, I teamed up with my friends Molly Sohr and Ashley Wilson and planned a brunch to celebrate our girls.
We spent our New Year's Eve at the at a beautiful boutique hotel in downtown Nashville, the newly-opened Noelle. he property, located right next to to Printers Alley, perfectly blends the old with the new.
I had the best 24th birthday weekend filled with lots of quality time with friends and family. I love having a birthday near the holidays because it makes the most wonderful time of the year even more special!
It always amazes me how many incredible companies we have right here in Nashville. As someone who was born and raised in this wonderful city, I always love to support and promote the local companies that make it so unique. That's why I was excited when Visit Music City asked me to curate a stocking in Music City Marketplace.
Hey everyone! My mom and I did our first Instagram Live Beauty Q+A together this weekend. We had so much fun interacting with you guys and will definitely be collaborating on more content like this together. I rounded up all of your questions and linked some of our go-to products below. Feel free to email me if I left anything out and thanks for reading and always being so supportive!
Our wedding day was truly the happiest and most blissful day of our lives. It's hard for me to put into words what that day meant to me. There will never be anything quite like having all of our family, friends and loved ones under one roof celebrating our marriage.
Our ceremony was complete with dripping greenery, floral chandeliers, and a breathtaking view of the Tennessee foliage surrounding the reclaimed rock quarry. We wanted every detail to feel personal to us and our relationship.
Guest Post + Recipe Written by STudioist. "I’ve grown up surrounded by excellent cooks and bakers. My mom made dinner 98% of the time, cooking everything from traditional Ukrainian dishes to stir-fry recipes, even muffins for breakfast. My aunt, who lived with us most of my life, is an excellent baker, baking everything from our birthday cakes to holiday cookies and the best tiramisu...
Cameron and I had a much-needed date night at Butcher & Bee last weekend. We were so impressed with everything from the service to the menu that features a diverse selection of locally sourced mezze, vegetables and proteins, beer, wine and cocktails. Some of our favorite dishes were the whipped feta + honey, the avocado crunchy rice and the grilled pork chop with bacon caramel.
Our rehearsal dinner at The Cordelle was the perfect start to the best weekend of our lives. The venue is located just minutes from Broadway in Downtown Nashville. I fell in love with the charm of the the Victorian home built in the 1800's that features a beautiful loft style bridal suite upstairs.
The biggest adjustment Cameron and I faced when moving in together was coming up with a solution for my clothes. We have a master bedroom closet, but it definitely wasn't big enough for both of us. I'll be the first one to admit that I have A LOT of stuff and we knew we would have to get creative.
Growing up in Nashville makes it easy to overlook all the history that the city holds. I have been to the Grand Ole Opry countless times. I grew up going to work with my mom for various artists over the years, but never really took the time appreciate the building, the music and all that it represents until recently.
This week marks three months until the big day, so I thought I'd kick off #WeddingWednesday by answering some of your top wedding questions! I loved reading all the questions from my fellow brides out there and will definitely be doing more Q&A style posts in the future. Always feel free to reach out to me with your questions (about anything!) at email@example.com. It really helps me plan posts that YOU want to read and I love connecting with my readers!
Our first wedding shower was one for the books! It fell on Cinco de Mayo so we obviously had to go with a fiesta theme. It was an absolute blast and felt more like a party than your typical wedding shower. Looking around and seeing some of our closest friends and family together to celebrate us was so special. It was only a glimpse of how the wedding will be and we couldn't be more excited for the big day!
Wedding planning is in full force these days! It can be overwhelming at times, but I just remind myself how lucky I am to be planning a wedding with my best friend. The list of wedding to-do's is never ending, but Minted has made things so much easier.

If you haven't noticed, Cameron and I LOVE a good staycation. We celebrated Valentine's Day early this year with a little getaway at the modern and industrial 506 Lofts. Located in the heart of downtown Nashville, each of the lofts are themed around different aspects of the building's history.
Social media is a wonderful, creative and ever-evolving world. Unfortunately it can also be a place that harbors comparison and feelings of self-doubt. When I started my blog, I vowed to be transparent and real, and to be honest I feel like I've let you guys and myself down.
We had the most INCREDIBLE staycation at the Thompson Nashville for my 23rd birthday. The Thompson is a new luxury boutique hotel in The Gulch and it exceeded all of our expectations. From the managers to the doorman to the waiters at Marsh House, we experienced nothing but wonderful and friendly service during our entire stay.
In September I had the amazing opportunity to team up for a styled wedding shoot with Janna Brown Design + Draper Gray, an unbelievably talented sister duo. Janna of Janna Brown Design specializes in wedding and photo styling + floral design. Jess of Draper Gray is a fine art photographer.
Kimono Is The New Cardigan. At least that's what my girls over at Hey Wanderer predict.
My love affair with Hey Wanderer kimonos began last year, and I have worn their grey Florence style on REPEAT ever since. Their products are stylish, comfortable and add an effortless edge to any look. My favorite part is that they are all hand-dyed and locally made at their headquarters right here in Nashville.
When I started thinking about how I would ask my bridesmaids, my friend Emily of The Social Office reminded me about an awesome boutique paperie called The Dotted Line. A step into The Dotted Line is a step into a pastel dream world. They specialize in custom invitations and stationery, vintage inspired gifts and unique home decor. The Owner, Troy, exudes creativity and is passionate about creating the perfect items for her customers.
One of our favorite things about Cameron’s house is its proximity to 12 South. If you’ve ever been to Nashville, you’re probably familiar with this area from the “I Believe In Nashville” sign. While it is a fun place to check out while you’re visiting, the 12 South area has much more to offer. It has become the one-stop place to live, socialize, eat, drink, and shop. Stylish boutiques, contemporary restaurants, charming coffee shops and beautifully renovated homes are all within walking distance.
After traveling so much, we’ve barely had time to even think of the wedding. This weekend was our first real wedding planning experience and I have to say it was quite the success! My parents, Cameron’s parents, my Mimi and my two best friends Cookie and Holland joined us on our venue hunt. They all made it such a fun, stress free experience for me and Cam.
After the venue hunt was over, I had some sneaky plans of my own! It’s not very often that I have my two best friends together because Holland lives in Jupiter, Florida. I got Holland and Cookie out of the house to go get our nails done and do some shopping. While we were gone, my mom and Mimi set up the cutest party!
